"All the world's a stage we pass through." - R. Ayana
Everyone knows ‘right’ from ‘wrong’, yet not many people learn Ethics. Instead they’re brainwashed into believing the temporary morality of the local cult under which they are born. Hardly any know the vital difference between natural ethics and social morality – and this is what it takes to know truth from the lies of religious and political ‘authorities’. The feudal/capitalist version of morality is, of course, “He who has the gold, rules.”
Fortunately, the truth is as easy to tell as lies – though embellishing it creates garbage.
The old Wiccan lore of “Do what thou wilt ere it harm none” proved to be a negative affirmation. The more recent “Do what thou wilt, love under will” creed of magickal groups (including the Ordo Templi Orientis) seems more positive to some – but a flaw is its openness to interpretation. Far simpler to understand – and far more comprehensive – is the ancient phrase
“Do unto others as you would have them do to you.”
Only sadomasochists can fail to get the point – and ‘others’ are not only human beings.
Consciousness pours through our universe like water through a sieve, reflecting and refracting itself through myriad forms. Everyone is everyone and every thing; we are all transceivers taking in signals and information, endlessly modifying and passing them on.
This is why the ‘golden rule’ is as important to conscious beings as the ‘golden mean’ is to geometers. It is basic to all ethical systems and is a simple extension of the true Hermetic doctrine – “That which is within is reflected in that which is without, and that which is without is reflected by that which is within.” This holistic view matches perfectly the holographic nature of our world and mind.
In a holographic multiverse such as we inhabit, each human is a facet of an infinite (n-dimensional) crystal – a multiversal deity of whom we are all parts, cells and sensory surfaces, as divine beings sharing infinite fractal variety.
In this wholographic multiverse, the complete picture is accessible to and from all its constituents – each of which is also the complete picture. Every individual is different and unique, a whole hole in the universal sieve of material reality leading directly to the infinite – we, the eye and mind of God/ess, have no god, no master. But we all have Karma, Dharma and Ethics built in.
Are we a multitude of individuals – or an individual being living a multitude of lives in a simultaneous fugue state – or both?
It takes two to tango - and when any three gather together even greater things can happen.
