Suck or Swim

Corporate consumer 'culture' traps everyone in the centrifugal spin cycle in which the poor come out in the wash, stranded while the prophets of profits hold onto their centralised power. Being a follower and following fashion is made easy for people by the religious imprinting necessary to maintain the social cohesion that stops all true change, in a species warding off mutations that may be superior to it. Fashion fascism is one of the planks of a class system, the division of the population that makes ruling it an easy task. These are some of the fruits of the ‘military-industrial complex’ – more precisely a military-corporate complex – whose rise to power President Eisenhower warned of in his last speech. Other poisonous offshoots are the unclear nuclear industry that has raised background radiation levels across the globe markedly since World War Two - a detail lost in the massive current nuclear pollution of slabs of the globe by the USA. This neo-pariah disposes of its corporate nuclear waste by firing it at its contrived enemies, using ordnance manufactured by the industrial giants that create the otherwise expensive to store radioactive waste. The destruction of the forests, soil, food and water supplies are also major creations of this endless cycle of creation of unnecessary crap. And people buy it; they don’t even seem to mind being CALLED suckers – consumers – by corporates and governments. The endless suck of glitter and colour has enthralled generations for millennia. By the time they learn the difference between want and need, between fashion and creativity, and step back from the consumer cycle, a new generation is stepping up to the plate. The economics that drive this are totally unsustainable. Don’t buy into it. You can’t buy a culture, or buy style – you have to create it! We all literally create our own realities - most directly within our own bodies. Countering each negative thought about your self (and health) with a positive one is challenging - one must first notice what one is thinking. A crucial point to remember that at least 35% of all healing comes from the placebo effect! This is a medically accepted figure! We are mindstuff, the material tailored by ourselves.
